چکیده
In this work, different ethanol ratios (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) blended with biodiesel were used to investigate the effects of addition on engine performance, combustion, emission characteristics a high-speed diesel in terms brake power, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency, cylinder pressure, temperature, heat release rate, NOx, CO, soot emissions. First, three-dimensional CFD model was established by AVL-Fire combined CHEMKIN code. Then, an improved kinetic mechanism 430 reactions 122 species developed combining three-component combustion accurately simulate processes. The results indicated that compared biodiesel, maximum consumption increased 6.08%, efficiency 2.09% for fuel. addition, NOx CO emissions EE20 reduced 29.32% 39.57% at full load. Overall, can significantly decrease pollution

Emission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios
In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...
متن کاملEmission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends
The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...
متن کاملPerformance and Emission Characteristics of Diesel Engine Fueled with Ethanol-Diesel Blends in Different Altitude Regions
In order to investigate the effects ethanol-diesel blends and altitude on the performance and emissions of diesel engine, the comparative experiments were carried out on the bench of turbo-charged diesel engine fueled with pure diesel (as prototype) and ethanol-diesel blends (E10, E15, E20 and E30) under different atmospheric pressures (81 kPa, 90 kPa and 100 kPa). The experimental results indi...
متن کاملIgnition delay, combustion and emission characteristics of diesel engine fueled with biodiesel
Biodiesels are gaining more importance as a promising alternative energy resource. Engine performance and emission characteristics of unmodified biodiesel fueled diesel engines are highly influenced by its ignition and combustion behavior. This review article presents the literature review on ignition delay (ID), combustion and emission characteristics of biodiesel fueled diesel engine. More th...
متن کاملPerformance and Emission Characteristics of a Slow Speed Diesel Engine Fueled With Soybean Bio Diesel
Fossil fuels have given us utility and continued their role in a variety of areas, but rapid depletion of these fossil fuels directs the researchers to find alternative fuels for the present energy crisis. In this perspective a Bio-diesel came in to existence which meets the present energy demand and emission norms. Biodiesel is a non–toxic, biodegradable and renewable alternative fuel that can...
